You must have heard or already used some portable version of full fledged program. Ever wondered how they are created or have you thought you can a portable version of any program, so that you can carry it in usb pen drive and use on any computer?

Cameyo, a free program for Microsoft that will allow you to create portable versions of any program, without much conflict and in few steps.

Here is a brief outline how you can create your own portable apps.

Firstly, you need to download Cameyo from their website.

As an example program, think of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, it is a free software to analyze, detect and remove malware in our Windows 7, its installation file can be downloaded from their official website . The installation file is 5.9MB and the name is “mbam-setup-1.46.exe. It is also important to download Camey (installation file is 1.5 MB).

Camey installation process is fairly straightforward, just like other programs in Windows 7.

After Camey is installed, proceed to execute it (on the created in the Start menu> All Programs). Initially we will display the following interface:

Select the option “Capture installation, and then exit the window. After ending of its process, you will be prompted to the setup file of that you want (Antimalware in our example).

At end of the process you will get the portable app of Antimalware.

There are nice tutorial to demonstrate you to use the software, so this time we are not going in to detailed screenshot and instruction.

The reason why it uses a round about way to create portable application is to prevent hack, crack  or piracy. Without the genuine registration key or software license, you can not create the full version application with it (Say Adobe Photoshop).
