How to remove the confirmation prompt to delete any file in Windows 7


When it is desired to remove one or more or folders, a dialog appears confirming before sending them to the Recycle bin. However, to avoid having the confirmation request every time it is desirable to deactivate it.

Note that, it is not same as bypassing the recyle bin; i.e delete permanently. Here, the deleted file will go to recylebin, but will not ask the user.

Also note that, if you drag any file to recycle bin, by default, this prompt does not appear.

on the Recycle Bin and click “Properties” :

Uncheck “Display delete confirmation dialog” then click “OK
