Access ftp server from browser without using other software in Windows 7


Here is a trick to your website’s ftp server from your in Windows 7, without using other software. Previously, we wrote on how to access ftp server from Windows 7 explorer without using any software; this time, we will show you an unique way to access your FTP server to upload, download or manage the server files from any browser. That means, to access your FTP server, you will not need installation of any third party software or do not have to use any Online FTP services.

 

Open any browser, any standard browser; , Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Safari. On the address bar, type:

 

ftp://ftp.name_of_your_server.com

 

Change “name_of_your_server” part to your server’s name and change the .com extension to others (.net, .org etc) if your domain’s name does not end with .com.

To give example, for our server, we should type ftp://ftp.thecustomizewindows.com :

Then hit Enter key from your . It will provoke a , which will ask for the server’s username and password. Fill the required fields. Hit Submit or similar button in the window (the above screen shot is of Opera Browser). After few seconds, all files and folders will show in the browser page:
