Multiple finger gesture on any laptop with Synaptic touchpad


Multiple finger gesture can be used on any laptop that comes with Synaptic .

 

Know the manufacturer of your laptop’s touchpad before using the trick for Multiple finger gesture

In the notification area, double click the touchpad (unhide by clicking the arrow if hidden) :

In the Mouse Properties Window (that will come clicking the touchpad icon) ; go to Button Tab (or any tab). If you the word ALPS is written at the bottom, then the touchpad is manufactured by Synaptics.

Go to this official page of  Synaptics and download the right driver according to your version, it is for multiple finger gesture.

 

Install it. Restart.
