If you spend less, Ads will be on the third or forth page. You can start or stop displaying the Google Adwords Ads at any time.
More tips on AdWords
Look for Google’s promotional Ads : sometimes they give 50-50 bonus as a part of their campaign. If you pay $30, Adsense will add another $30. There is a minimal initial account cost. It is not recurring, so use the same account every time, even if you use it only once a year.
If you have Adsense Ads on your blog, contact both teams and make them aware you are using Adwords for that period. They will manage the technical part.
