Cloud CDN or Content Delivery Network itself a complicated topic to most of the users. When Origin Pull and Origin Push like difficult technical terms are used along with Cloud CDN Technology, it becomes more hard to be understood by general users.

Understanding Origin Push for Cloud CDN technology

Origin push for Cloud CDN technology references from the previous production work center.

Origin Push Cloud CDN technology provides the service at the cheapest rate possible. The First WorkStation is your Server, it itself moving to workplace, so the CPU load of the Cloud CDN provider is decreased.

However, some Origin Push type Cloud CDN service might not be detected as pure CDN.

Understanding Origin Pull for Cloud CDN technology

By contrast, Origin pull starts with an order in the center of initial work.  Once work is completed in the first workstation, it moves to the next workplace, this process continues until the end of the workstation.

In other words, it will pull the requested files from your server and forward it.

Obviously, from the described mechanism, it is quite clear that Origin Push Cloud CDN technology will deliver most optimized content to increase the page loading time. Push Cloud CDN works very much like second server.

If you have many small static files (=more http requests), Pull Cloud CDN is less likely to help you, in fact it might increase the page loading time as the caching will not be optimal.

In practical field, type of Cloud CDN (whether Push or Pull) actually does not matter much.
