The second facet is to use Business Cloud Computing directly for profit, like selling a product.

Powering up existing business with Business Cloud Computing model

We have already written in details about how hybrid cloud computing and private cloud computing can open up the opportunities for your business with your existing infrastructure and not investing a huge on the hardware and software front to boost up it. We will not go in to much details for this part as many things has been already said. Rather we will give importance to the second facet – how you can use  Business Cloud Computing directly for profit.

Using Business Cloud Computing directly for profit

Business Cloud Computing
The best usage of  Business Cloud Computing directly for profit is to sell it as a service – either in a bland way – like offering hosting. For example, the hosting brand Laughing Squid is featured in WordPress.org Hosting services. But it actually has no own infrastructure. They use The Rackspace Cloud’s existing infrastructure and sell it in to small pieces at the price bracket that is comfortable to the most. This is one usage of the profit model of Business Cloud Computing. This is somewhat bland usage of Business Cloud Computing, as almost no direct intervention from technical point is needed.

The other way is to use Business Cloud Computing as a service – think of Google’s AppEngine. Appengine is one of the successful PaaS model of Business Cloud Computing. It is not only Appengine, other various brands has adapted this business Cloud Computing model. Providing a paid SaaS or online software service, hosting databases, providing managed websites to the Enterprise are just few examples of similar business Cloud Computing ideas.
