Cloud and SaaS : Is Cloud Based SaaS Becoming the Mainstream ?

Cloud Computing is becoming the dominant global trend not only in enterprise IT but also in Private Small Sectors. Better,faster,cheaper is pushing Cloud ahead. It is not anything new to be said about the expansion of Cloud with showering features, but to discuss whether Cloud Based Applications, that is Software as a Service, specifically becoming the mainstream and to what level Cloud SaaS can probably push us.

Cloud Based SaaS Becoming the Mainstream for Various Factors

Particularly, as per Gartner’s various studies, medium sized enterprises mainly shifting to Cloud Based solutions for a drastic cut off in recurrent costs. Among the bigger segments, we have seen Daimler, Audi to move to the Cloud for their main IT infrastructure. It is quite interesting to see a brand like Daimler with 148.132 billion assets to opt for not only Cloud Based Softwares but also for the full IT infrastructure.

At the end of 2012, it is predictable that more companies will move their IT systems to cloud based solutions instead of purchase or renewal of Software licences and hardware replacements.

This move is noticeable towards the traditional Master Blaster Brands offering Cloud Computing offers such as IBM, Oracle , HP and SAP. Still, relatively newer to IT sectors like Amazon or fully new like The Rackspace Cloud has grasped a good market share in Cloud Computing.

CRM and Collaboration Tools are definitely the mainstream of cloud based solutions if not more

Business applications on cloud is expected to be the norm within next two years. CRM applications, increases Business Intelligence and has less risk to run a test. From the data of recent years, it is noticeable that companies generally preferred best of breed solutions. Newer standard provider companies with top notch quality, offering never expected customer care – The Rackspace Cloud’s “Fanatical Support” is one of such excellent strategies to keep the customer forever.

You hate or love, it is happening slowly and will change the system drastically within 2015, pushing towards Cloud Based solutions with option for Open Source Softwares. Developers to End user, all are apparently happy with the results and net profit, directly or indirectly.
