Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera technically not the same as Bridge camera, this are hybrid Camera with good features of DSLR and Compact Digital Camera. As you can understand, technically some of the bridge camera can be Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera, but not all bridge camera are Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera.

The Concept of Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera

These are hybrid compact cameras with interchangeable lens like DSLR but they are provided with small a large sensor. This category emerged in 2008 started booming in the early 2010s. Unlike bridge camera, these cameras have larger sensors and even some models come equipped with APS-C sensor format, which puts them a step above the previous segment, in terms of image quality. The absence of the reflex mirror puts them at a disadvantage, especially because they lose the approach and direct optical visualization, so models are dependent on electronic viewfinder that uses the main sensor.

The objectives of these cameras is interchangeable to match the DSLR camera segment. Some even have the possibility of adopting other DSLR accessories, which becomes an advantage in terms of compatibility. Manufacturers have designed exclusive models of goals for this segment, which are distinguished by a reduced size against DSLR and reduced weight compared to traditional DSLR Lens, and Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera has the advantage for taking HD video.

Deciding between DSLR and Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera

If you already have an advanced DSLR camera, for portability issues, Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera is a good buy. But, Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera itself can not be a substitute for a DSLR and the price of these Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera are quite high compared to a Compact Digital.

In other words, for a newbie, we do not recomand to buy these kind of Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera, but to stick on entry level DSLR.
