Note that, Mark Traphagen is verified person. Verified means a tick mark appears beside name. It is quite nice thing to look. I had that too, but with loss of Klout I lost it with time. Searching with special string gives this kind of thing in Google Search :

The change of text beside name happens in real time. If I change my Google Plus profile’s About me page, it will change instantly. Plus if I post something one YouTube it will show in real time in search. There is probably not much increase in search engine traffic or ranking.

Ultimate thing is, you probably can not falsify or do blackhat to get such thing. The reason is quite obvious, links at least for me comes from old good authentic .gov.in, .ac.in domains, which actually not others can access by any means.  Do not overdo anything, ultimately you might get penalized.
