WordPress Compatibility Checking Script for Your Web Server is a simple yet powerful script to test whether your web host to run WordPress smoothly. There are something to mention about this multi functional WordPress Compatibility Checking Script, which optionally wget the latest version of WordPress, extracts and make your WordPress installation easier.

There are two php files included in this WordPress Compatibility Checking Script package. The first step checks the compatibility of Apache 2 webserver and second one runs if you click the next step button on the first screen of WordPress Compatibility Checking Script, if WordPress is already installed, it will return back and will not re-install WordPress. In case you click the Next Step button in the first screen of WordPress Compatibility Checking Script and you have no WordPress installed, it will wget the  latest version of WordPress, extract, redirect to wp-config file and make your WordPress installation easier. It will move all the files to the root from wordpress named uncompressed folder and delete the downloaded zip folder from wordpress. Although this is actually written for The Rackspace Cloud, this will work on any Apache server, including your local computer installation.

Download the rar file from the above link and extract all the files (2 php files and 2 image files). Upload all to your web server’s root of FTP (i.e. /var/www/ in case of Debian or Ubuntu.). Run the Script for Checking Compatibility to Run WordPress by going to :

http://yourdomain.com/start.php

for Checking Compatibility to Run WordPress on your web server.
