Anyone has heard of Twitter, the microblogging service that allows you to send messages of 140 characters to its correspondents. But not all knows that this tool still has not yet been fully utilized.

Yet this tool holds tremendous potential for finding customers, visitors, improve the ranking of a website, keep in touch with their prospects. So we will show you how to use Twitter for professional use.

What is the professional way of use of Twitter?

Why use Twitter?

Initially Twitter is a tool you that does not make you too much interested, because if we want to send an email message there, if you want to manage your contacts there is Facebook, if you want chat there is Chat softwares, if you want to write articles and blogs to share interesting links there is Digg. Then why Twitter? It is conglomeration of all these mentioned media types.

Please do not use Twitter like a machine to announce what you do, because of course it does not interest many people, and end this weary even the most self-centered.

Twitter instead must be a used as a source of added value when you need only to send relevant and interesting information (links, articles, ideas …). The ultimate goal when possible to initiate a debate and your readers react to cause a chain reaction.

According to Hubspot a person on average a person gets about 70 or more followers (that is to say, 70 receives posts via Twitter), only 5% of users have more than 250 followers and 0.8% over 1000 ( we see the importance a little later).

What are the practical uses of Twitter in a business?

To create a network and share information.

Like Facebook, Linkedin, Youtube … Twitter is a great way to get in touch with new people and expand its network with individuals that we would never have met “in real life” or the Internet.

On Twitter you can find the most passionate bloggers, professionals; you can make direct contact with them! It is an invaluable opportunity to make PR propose partnerships, present a new offer, promote an event.

This can also be a retention tool with its clients: All e-marketing experts agree on the fact that it is becoming

increasingly difficult to ensure the deliverability of email, ISPs and Anti-Spam filtering email suspect at the signing emails. Also the email has really lost its attraction, and among the mass emails and newsletters received in the day it became difficult to stand out.

Twitter makes it possible to send a message either via a generic message, either via a direct message to the person. Furthermore, as true fans of Twitter are always connected it helps to have a high reactivity.

One should therefore distinguish three types of messages:

– Those sent automatically via RSS feeds, for example updates a blog.

– Those sent manually to share information already on the net or on a blog other than his own (also includes retweets)
– Those sent exclusively on Twitter to spread a buzz, offering a promo exclusive to your community, start a survey, ask a question.

Twitter is a very simple and affordable for small businesses: there is no need to buy software for emailing and to have a customer base, take out a subscription to a solution of emailing, creating a HTML newsletter; just put your name and customers register themselves!

However there are 2 limits on sending messages:
– A majority of people accessing Twitter sporadically.
– Messages sent to all lost in the crowd of messages when a follower of your tracks more than 50 people.

Making Competitive Intelligence and finding customers

Twitter is an interesting tool for competitive intelligence because sometimes he can “surprise” of conversations between users with its “informal” when everything is laid out and recorded.

It is possible to use tools like search.twitter.com that allows you to search by keywords on Tweets.

Improve your SEO and drive traffic

Posts on Twitter are fairly well indexed by Google, but it is another opportunity to appear on expressions. But do not dream, these messages usually appear in 3rd or 4th page.

It is even possible to add links by posting an anonymous notes on his blog with keywords and phrases via secrettweet.com.

A number of bloggers also use Twitter to ask, via a direct message to their followers to vote for their posts. This practice is common although a bit limited because it influences the scoops coming on home page. We therefore prefer a more “soft” by publishing only via messages “classic” his scoops.

Get help quickly and easily

The value of Twitter is that you can easily ask questions to their network without having to send an email to a particular person. You launched a Bottle, and we expect an answer! This can be useful if for example you do not remember more than one site, if you search for a place; because it is a “collective intelligence” which is then available.

Measuring the quality of services

With Twitter, you post a direct purchase with your customers, so you have a direct return of your customers think, the problems they face ; to make preventive rather than curative you.

Use a professional design

We already posted Photoshop template to design your own twitter profile template. You can use to spice up to attract followers. Always change the design every 3-6 month or rotate them.

Better not to buy Twitter followers

In past 4 months, we got 250+ followers, we can easily increase it to 20,000 or more by buying Twitter followers, they are sold for few dollars. It is a kind of black hat SEO, avoid it. Keep it in mind : you can not fool search engines in a cheap way.
