Surely, you must have come to a blog in your surfing lifetime, in one way or another and after some giving big effort to read and understand (but you could not) have decided to not return to that blog again.
Sometimes we even remember few website’s domain name to avoid clicking from Google search result page, most of them are so called content farms, which thankfully eliminated to some extent by Google now.
Now imagine if that first thing is that what people do with your blog. The good thing is that the reasons why people do not usually return the same for everyone and usually a bit generalized.
---
Check the layout of your blog
- The text is read wrongly because the font color you have chosen is more difficult to read.
- You have loaded your blog with so many graphics and images that load too slowly.
Check your posts repeatedly
- Check your post as many times as possible. I check three times before publishing. Still I found many errors later. This is not very funny. If a newspaper misprints they have the oppertunity to request the readers to pardon in the next day’s issue. You do not have such oppertunity in most of the time, particularly, if you have just started the blog.
Copy and paste news with a link, no comment
This special type of blog are typically posted by self claimed (or claimed by someone) Microsoft enthusiasts. If you have doubt or want some examples, we can show you thousands of such examples. As they copy from the best writers, the articles itself are woven with lot of keywords. Obviously, Google catches it soon in the search result pages. As Windows is the most used operating system by novice users at home level, along with many associated problems with it, people searches a lot for getting a solution and face these blogs.
People usually remember the logo and a general layout of the blog, if not the url. So, if you post such garbage posts, today or tomorrow you will fail. It might be the fact, your website has only 20% of such posts (just like the wrong we did when started writing), visitors came from search engines, saw it (actually scanned it, no one reads them); even your related posts links points to other such garbages. The visitor will remember and never return back.
Another point is, you must have a different unique design. we said it ago too. This is also a cause.
Here is a foot note. we get few emails from such copy paste writers asking to check their ” SEO “. It is a peculiar phenomenon; people think that they are very clever, around 90% of such requests come from copy-paste writers.
The articles are too long
You are not writing a thesis paper. You are writing for people who has no idea about those things, otherwise they would open book to see the reference. Keep it in mind.
You write too much, say 20 posts a day
It is not only dangerous for visitors, as it will be hard, that those 20 posts will be retweeted by many peoples everyday; but also Google might think you are doing something that is not good.
Lack of interaction
- No answer to emails.
- When someone ask in the comments, you do not answer.
