This tutorial is primarily written on request of Dr.Arpita Sarcar, she feels that, managing projectors in seminars is tad difficult work. It is not a problem at all, infact with a Windows 7 laptop, you can boost the quality of your seminar presentations. This guide will tell you, how to enhance yet easily use projector in Windows 7 laptops using Windows Mobility Center.

Switch on your laptop. Connect the projector. Switch it on. It is a rule of thumb, never connect a “hot” (that means which is running on electricity) hardware to a PC. Instead, connect to PC via usb or serial port when the device is switched off , then Switch on that device. Windows will recognize it.

You can turn Windows Mobility Center by pressing Windows logo key and X from keyboard. It will invoke this window:

You can chooses between Computer only (=laptop’s screen), Projector only, Extended or Duplicate on a single click.

Why we said about enhancing?

Use the Duplicate mode. You do not have to look back to the screen. You can look straight to the audience and deliver your speech. You can see what is actually displayed through the projector on the laptop’s screen (its duplicate). It looks very professional when you do not need to turn your head or body to explain something.

P.S : Seminar means good launch or dinner afterwards and we think you also enjoy that part.
