Apple’s Mac OS X basically based on the oldest Operating System UNIX core. UNIX itself is celebrating 40 years this year, 2011. Kernel wise, Mac OS X is rock stable. In this article, we will highlight the most popular features of Mac OS X.

Spotlight highlights anything you searching for by keeping others in translucent dark and the searched item in light. It can be turned on or off for integration with other programs and features.

Stack
Stack comes in three flavors (can be configured from right click menu) : Fan, Grid and List ; on left click on dock the stack appears as you have configured it. Right click shows a menu similar to list.

Button and check boxes are real eye candy of of Mac OS X. In inactive state they turns gray scale; when active turns blue. The default button blinks very nicely.
