Important Notice To The Visitors Regarding Our Server Migration

The regular visitors are well aware of the facts those were going beyond The Customize Windows for the past 2 months, some of you have written emails or made a contact through the Contact us form.

We are happy to let you know, almost all problem has been solved by our newly joined Team Mate. However as moving a bigger WordPress blog is not very easy and it is the fact that WordPress is not designed to be moved every now and then, there are certain limitations right now. I will point out one by one.

 

Features which you will not get right now due to our Server Migration

 

• The posts are not cached, so the page loading speed will be a bit slower. Also the first byte loading time will be a bit slow. It will be resolved within 72 hours.
• The category wise post list as well as the navigation (you can see there are many categories absent) will not work. For example if you click this post’s “tagged with” link, it might show only this post or nothing. Tag pages is, however active. We will fix it within 48 hours.
• You will get 404 for two posts, one is a wallpaper and the other one is a post on Cloud DNS. We will restore them within 24 hours.

 

Reasons behind our Server Migration and our promise

 

We needed to move much earlier. The old server was showing server resource limitation and the WP backend was very slow due to overload. Second is that, the blog has been hacked thrice within few weeks by a known person and we needed better security.

 

You will get more faster working The Customize Windows with almost zero down time, we are on Rackspace Cloud Server and we will add dual CDN support and load balancer to make it more fast.

 

I personally had some initial talks with few writers and two well known popular websites, we will add some new features. A small premium forum will be added, premium Newsletter feature will be added along with daily free newsletter. A premium download zone will be added, about which I wrote about nearly six months ago on deviantArt Group.
