3D printed Wheeled Robot Chassis is great for testing purpose unless you are going to build a toy. By definition, wheeled robots are robots which are mobile and can navigate around the ground using motorized wheels. This design is simpler than using treads or legs for movement in flat terrain. Disadvantages of wheeled robots mainly is that they can not navigate over surfaces like rocky terrain or surfaces with low friction. Two wheeled robots are known as swing-type robot. 3-wheeled robots can be differentially steered (third wheel is free rotating wheel to keep the balance) or 2 wheels powered by a single source and a powered steering for the third wheel. Moving is definitely a hard work and needs huge debug, real life checking; but basically the main thought will revolve around, what exactly it will perform. Sometimes kids buy them & their parents sell them not for helping us but for SAVING the kids’ normal time needed for reading. As these have the support for spare wheels, springs, gear etc. basically they are better in long run, however the work needed is huge.
