How to use Windows SkyDrive to post high quality images

Get 25 GB of secured online space, where you can put any kind of file like images, documents, backup and can restrict or share individual folders like you do in Windows 7 computer and its all for free , even you do not have purchased a Windows PC.In this tutorial, we will learn how to use this potential space for free to insert photo or images in original quality to share with friends on Forum, Blogs or even small websites; which either does not offer their server space to use for uploading photos. The major advantage is, viewers will never have to see those peculiar icons instead of photos/images for long inactive accounts, that always happens with photo sharing services like photo bucket. Users can open the uploaded image in full size and intact quality; but they can not access your profile by any means.I had written this tutorial long ago, in the meantime, Windows Skydrive has integrated Office with it; so, the screenshots are a bit older. But, the basic function has remained the same.

On clicking my Blog images (I used Live Spaces ago):

I have shown after clicking the options link on right top of the page. Each picture has unique address.Just to give you example, clicking this link will open that screenshot , but you can never reach my sky drive digging it from back-its completely safe!

Uploading big sized photos without compression:

I think its a boon for the professional photographers to upload and share nice photographs without any compression. How to do that? (By Default it will compress your photos to save your space).Follow me:
Goto Skydrive:

Go to a folder and add your files. If you dont want to share, select “My documents” (You can change permission at any time though;By default its not shared). If you want to share select “Public”:

I got Drop option because Windows Live toolbar is installed in my computer. If you dont have that installed, you will get “Browse” option. Select File. You will get something like this:

OK. Look at the right top corner. Whats that? “Photo upload Size”. Click it. You will get three options. Select “Original” if you dont want to loss the quality. Click upload below (not visible in this last screenshot):

Done.

Click that image Thumbnail:

Now click this bigger image:

Look at the address bar. Single click it.Press [CTRL] and [C] to copy that big unique address. I am copy-pasting the address of that screenshot for example (it is not of the little doggy shown above):

https:\\gcvpja.bay.livefilestore.com\y1ptaP9CFd5RRBKZNzHSldQKxv7OpdjA5Igtu-aWTZBjfn5I8RE_ycj0K0aDh5NXU7GTsgnwB6Jh8dSUTv4YAxegxPB5UKb_N4y\Ultimate1%5B13%5D.png

How is the address ; )

(Thats why I asked you to copy, its impossible to remember.)

If you lose a single letter or digit, the whole thing will be valueless, make sure the three letter extension is there like ….bnmhj.png

Done!

You can now post images to forums, blogs, email without thinking of loss of quality.

Note:

To insert image in PhBB forum you can use this “formula” :

To insert image using HTML codes by searching the Internet with “Free HTML codes” or with similar term.
