This tutorial will show how to create task that will allow automated running of files and programs at a pre defined time as set by user in Windows 7.
Click Start, type “task” in the Start Menu search bar without the quotation marks or by open it from All Programs -> Accesories -> System Tools :
Windows Task Scheduler will open. Select ‘Create Basic Task’ from the right hand pane and the ‘Create Basic Task Wizard will open:
Type a name and description for your new task and click Next:Advertisement
For the next Windows, enter the program to be run as per schedule you want, when to start (date and time) and finally you will arrive to this Window:
Select run a program (in our example; however, you can set to define to send an email, display a message too). From the next window, browse and locate the .exe program file’s location (Usually C: > Program Files Name of the program folder > exe of the program or C: > Program files (X86) > Name of the program folder > exe of the program. Click Next and then Finish to close the wizard. The program will run as per your wish at any pre defined time.
