In order to understand what is this Hybrid Cloud Computing, we need to explain the Public Private Cloud Computing superficially as right now, at the time of writing this article we have not written any article specifically on Private Cloud Computing.

We are taking that the readers have already understood the basics of Cloud Computing which we have discussed ago.

In case of public clouds, services are offered on in the way so that an outsider can access the applications either as a free or paid solution. In private clouds, the platform is within the user’s access area and does not provide services to others.

What is this Hybrid Cloud Computing ?

 

Hybrid Cloud Computing combines the local applications with the public cloud. Hybrid Cloud Computing is also described as private enforcement augmented with cloud computing services and infrastructure.
This is why Hybrid Cloud Computing model allows a company maintain and control their main applications while Cloud Computing leverages the system.

One example of Hybrid Cloud Computing model will make better understanding : Take that our company is using Rackspace’s Hybrid Cloud Computing model. We are storing images, javascripts etc. on Rackspace’s server but our important documents are on our usual server. This is a very basic model how hybrid cloud computing works.

 

Advantages and features of Hybrid Cloud Computing

 

Hybrid Cloud Computing can be a good intermediate step before shifting most applications to the cloud.

Simply because Hybrid Cloud Computing model offers more control. It might be interesting to deploy a few useful applications on the cloud as Hybrid Cloud Computing model and when you are more comfortable, you can move as needed.

So, Hybrid Cloud Computing has the advantage of moderate initial investment while having the opportunity to use SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS on demand.

One might ask why we have not mentioned disadvantages of Hybrid Cloud Computing Model. The reason is, as hybrid cloud computing offers more control, the risks is directly related to how the user is using it.
