The developer has created simple batch script which allows to enable old Start menu, keeping all Metro features, It’s called “Metro Cheat” –
- Run once takeown.cmd
- Run METRO.cmd
- Metro must be turned on in registry, and UAC must be turned OFF in order to enable Old Start Menu in Windows 8.
RPEnabled value should be “1” - You can add metro.cmd to startup to Enable Old Start Menu for every time you start Windows 8
