Welcome back again and I am here again with a new topic Client Virtualization. Basically two topics – Client Virtualization and Virtual Clients as a Service.
I will explain both the Client Virtualization and Virtual Clients as a Service in a easy comprehensive language and discuss their utility, advantages and disadvantages.

What is Client Virtualization

With client virtualization our desktop computers become entirely dependent on the data center, the computer on your becomes very thin – Thin Client. Through some programs we can use any device, be it a Nokia Smartphone, a Tablet PC or a Netbook for Client Virtualization.

You might have noted one post published within this website mentioning a cheaper tablet PC – working mechanism of the device is Client Virtualization. So, with Client Virtulization the situation becomes Server Based Computing.

What is Virtual Clients as a Service

Virtualization needs careful dedicated and knowledgeable team. For the most medium sized Web Hosting Service, it is not possible to maintain the huge cost needed for the care for running Virtualization deployed servers properly – that is why most cheap VPS becomes unstable. If the Virtualization itself can be delivered by a bigger brand to these medium sized brands, then many problem is solved. This is Virtual Clients as a Service, the other side of the coin of Client Virtualization.

Usages of Client Virtualization

Client Virtualization and Virtual Clients as a Service

Installing applications or programs using Client Virtualization : If you install Adobe Photoshop (just for example) on your netbook, it will be very slow. But if this Adobe Photoshop is installed on the server using Client Virtualization Technology, your netbook remains clutter free.

Hardware Emulation :Client Virtualization software creates a layer which emulates computer resources for the operating system software installed. In other word, you can run install Linux or Windows on a server and use it as if it is on your Hard Disk using Client Virtualization softwares.

Cloud Computing is actually a service, where as Client Virtualization is the real Hardware share solution.
