As we have said ago, the word Cloud is actually used to reflect the vastness of Internet. Right now, Cloud Sound and Cloud Music Technologies are very hot topic for discussion. Different Cloud Computing providers are offering different products, as a service through Cloud Computing. Music becoming as a service like other as a service offerings.
We have published ago an closely related article Cloud Streaming Technology For Video And Music.

Why every brand is inclining towards Cloud Sound and Cloud Music Technologies

Understand the basics – Human misunderstands while doing a task, human gets fatigued after a certain time, a single Human can not understand that what is the reason behind the wrong – a group of reliable peoples are needed. A computer can misunderstand, but it will give a signal what is the wrong. That was reason why we adapted computers in the mainstream. But a single computer has many limitations – just we gave the example of human, “can not understand that what is the reason behind the wrong – a group of reliable peoples are needed”. This work can easily performed on Cloud Computing platform. If one server get hanged (compare with fatigue in humans), others will do the work. Basically, if we think very philosophically – the reason we maintain a family just to work like a Cloud Computing system. Now compare it with a factory – how many peoples are working – if one goes for a break, others will continue.

In very simple words we have explained the basics of Cloud Computing. Now think, music is such as high demand product, if we can supply this music to the mass as a service – how nice it would be – this is the basic idea that made to think people about Cloud Sound and streaming technologies.

Branding behind the Cloud Sound related technologies

Rackspace, Amazon and Google – three brands pioneered. Rackspace has done excellent works on Cloud Sound and Media Streaming technologies. iTunes, Beatport, Spotify – just to name few Cloud Sound related brands.

Advantages of Cloud Sound related offerings

Before Cloud Sound came, we were able to download and purchase only one or two tracks instead of the full Album. Now, more features added with Cloud Sound technologies – one can listen at a minimum to zero cost. Can hear only a part and the need of downloading became obsolete. If you need to format your system, you need not to worry about the albums in case of services providers. We can get the same sorting without the need of sync throughout our various devices.

DMCA and other legal barriers to Cloud Sound Technologies

The problem are various, when anything is offered with flexibility or is allowed to be shared for free, the question of copyright comes and Cloud Sound related technologies are not an exception. Thankfully most legal matters with Cloud Sound related technologies has reached a good understanding from the legal point of view.

Special technical problems with Cloud Sound related services

Cloud Sound and Cloud Music Technologies

Suddenly a huge number of people might get interested to listen a particular song – seems odd? Imagine a very popular singer unfortunately left the World. Many people theoretically can get interested to listen a particular song through one particular Cloud Sound or music provider. It is a biggest back draw – Ddos attack can occur at any time. Although Cloud Sound delivering system is actually using the Cloud Computing Infrastructure, theoretically even if a Million people starts to hear a single music or try to download it, the system will scale and increase the Computing Cycle. The risk of Ddos is really small with Cloud Sound, but practically might happen.

Other problems with Cloud Sound Technology is the ghost effect – we have written ago about the problem of Cloud Computing is Latency Ghost Effect. In one word, you actually have deleted a song from the album or using it in a pay as you go model from a certain Cloud Sound provider, if it does not get deleted one will be overcharged. Again, Ghost Effect with Cloud Sound happens rarely and it depends on the Cloud Sound provider that how they think about it.
