Personal Life and your Professional Blog : How to Handle

As the title of this blog post is Personal Life and your Professional Blog, we first need to define the terms Personal Life and Professional Blog that will be repeatedly withing this writing. Personal life is the real World and to some extent, your online World – truths and details of which are only known to you. Professional blog is a website, mostly based on content management software like WordPress and the some revenue is generated out of it, starting from the mere money to maintain the cost of server or even a the life just like a job.

How Personal Life and your Professional Blog can interfere

It is a matter of fact, for a professional blog the main blogger or the owner needs to post regularly. Regularly means at least two substantial posts per day. I am taking that you are the owner and writer of the blog. Generally, the bloggers tries to write few posts at one sitting. This is the most time saving technique simply because apart from the technical factors, the writer needs not to concentrate twice and when a flow of writing comes, it is easier to write 2-3 articles, either as a continuation or series. For example, while you are writing a post like this post, Personal Life and your Professional Blog; a spark of idea of some related or unrelated topics might come in to your mind. That idea can easily be a blog article.

Now, at some point of time, situation might come when you are totally unable to write anything – it may be very joyful event that can make you euphoric or a sad event to make you very depressed. Handling your blog in the happy moment and sad moment must need to be explained separately.

Happiness of Personal Life affecting your Professional Blog

Happiness of Personal Life can affect your Professional Blog to some extent, like you are getting married, you got a sweetheart, you first child took birth etc. Firstly, if you are running a tech blog or niche blog d no announce this by creating a post or page. It is better to keep them outside of your niche blog as simply that title and content will go to the subscribers’ inbox as email newsletter and the person might not enjoy it or take in the way you are taking. Secondly, as our blog posts have different keywords in the sidebar, footer or the navigation menu, take the example of take blog with most related keyword “Computer”. Now you have posted happily, “The Happiest moment is today in my life as I got my sweetheart.” Obviously your meta description will be something like “Today I am very happy as I got the lady in my life with whom I will spend the rest of my life.”
Now, as the keyword ‘Computer’ is too much related to your domain, it is not a rare thing that if someone searches with “happiest computer stuffs” will get that post – the visitor will not get very satisfied and close the browser without noticing that you might have something closer to it in some section or subsection. And if your blog has very lower number of posts, it might make Google to think differently about your blog.
The solution for sharing such happy moments is to create a handwritten html or php page and keep it on the root. So, everyone can access it by:

youdomain.com/the-happiest-moment-is-today-in-my-life-as-i-got-my-sweetheart.html

Just make a button or link on the homepage for the visitors to give the access to the page. You can send a personal newsletter too. In other words, the RSS feed seeding is avoided in this way.

As in most cases of the happiness, it is generally known to happen – you obviously know the date of your marriage or when probably your child will take birth. Be prepared with at least fully written and ready 20 posts in advance.

Sadness of Personal Life affecting your Professional Blog

Sadness unfortunately gives no notice before it actually happens, except if someone’s closer relative is suffering from a deadly disease and the doctor has almost predicted the person’s lifetime.

Sadness can come at any time, for example when this post was written best Android 3D Games for your Android Tablet, I was mentally totally dis-balanced. I gave one example, but it is actually a lot of posts. As I was not prepared, I had to wipe my eyes with a handkerchief and continue typing. I am saying honestly, it is very very tough. I wrongly wrote a page, instead of a post for one of them. It was a smaller mistake, but grave mistake might took place.

So, what to do with your blog when sadness of Personal Life is engulfing you –

  • If you have a download type category, post only the downloads – they are quite mechanical, it is relatively easier.
  • Always, always try to keep 5-10 pre-written articles (not download type posts) in hand.
  • Try to hire professional writers as soon as possible.
Personal Life and your Professional Blog

Obviously, you can happily take it easy if some happiness makes your blog’s SERP a bit bad. But if its sadness or grief that affects your blog, you will get dual shock – the sadness from the personal life and the falling SERP, which actually can be returned. But, you are actually depressed – your inner mind is telling about an emptiness. Now the falling curve in Google analytics will make you more unhappy. Other ways are to create anonymous or named blog and using it like a diary.

I hope none of my readers and visitors ever get such sadness bu only the happiness. So, keep some posts in drafts handy. Notice that, I said about my sorrow, but have not written anything about it. This makes this article readable at any moment by any person.
