Image Editing and Digital Photography : The Limitations

The biggest difference as well as negative point with digital camera is, the main capturing media, that is the senor in case of a digital camera does varies widely in physical characteristics unlike traditional film photography, where a roll of ISO 400 film was of the same physical properties when used on just a cheaper camera or a high end SLR camera. However, it is not possible to cover all the errors and artifacts by Image Editing alone. A better DSLR with proper accessories will obviously perform better than an entry level digital camera without any Image Editing. Unfortunately, particularly the noise at high ISO even for the highest available model of DSLR needs retouch through Image Editing.
But, Image Editing itself not only to manage the defects somehow. Image Editing is an art to make a photograph more artistic or technically looking superior.
