Cloud That Lights Up. Neither anything about Cloud Computing nor Coding. It is a sculpture made up of burnt out bulbs and illuminated using CFC with pull switch. It is definitely not a guide on how to create your own Cloud That Lights Up, but definitely some nice ideas are shared here.

Coincidentally, we could have more of it first hand; we discovered that missed part from About Cloud where the description of lighting up the bulb has been mentioned as of Calgary’s first Nuit Blanche Festival. CLOUD was on public display for one night, somewhat like the light works of Indian Festivals.

Cloud That Lights Up
6000 Bulbs were used for creation of this CLOUD that lights up. The more funny thing is that the viewers could turn the bulbs on and off using pull strings that hang from the sculpture in the way we light up and off several household illumination things. This idea gave the Cloud to be really in the hand.

Cloud That Lights Up : Ideas that might work for you

If you like this Cloud That Lights Up, you probably can request the artist. But it will be more good idea to create something of yours own using this fantastic idea. The basic architecture is quite simple; it had a strong steel pillar like a tree to hold the distributed weight. There was ‘clusters’ of working CFC with the pull switch attached strings. There is no great technology behind, but as an excellent idea it really shows creativity of the artist.
