Rackspace Cloud Control Panel is the most beautiful, easy, minimalistic Web Hosting Control Panel on this universe. It is yummy and minimalistic like Mac. Parallel Plesk is the next powerful, feature rich and elegant Web Control panel. In fact for managed cloud server, Rackspace recommends plesk to add another child layer for Cloud Control Panel. cPanel does not not come in comparison to any of them – you just can not compare a 15″ Macbook Pro with a $500 laptop from Compaq/HP. Parallel has quite huge technical background behind Plesk, cPanel probably got promoted for the reseller web hosting companies with the buzz word – cPanel Hosting; that is actually for the $3 per month shared hosting with 800 or more (yes!) accounts running on one VM. The next best web control panel after Rackspace Cloud Control Panel and Plesk is – OpenPanel. It is open source and we wrote before how to install this fantastic OpenPanel on unmanaged server. Rackspace Cloud Control Panel is not available for non Rackspace Cloud Users, so the topic on Rackspace Cloud Control Panel is relevant only if you are thinking to upgrade to Rackspace Cloud. It is not a promotive, affiliate or otherwise endorsed overview on Rackspace Cloud Control Panel, over 99% users of Managed Cloud of Rackspace will agree with the written points.

Rackspace Cloud Control Panel : Improvements of UI on Client Feedback
The major change in GUI based operation was changing the expired header thing of Rackspace Cloud Files from 72 hours to 9999 hours, it was most wanted by the clients who could not change programatically. Other Changes in the New Next Generation Rackspace Cloud Control are too long to list. Rackspace Cloud Files got the feature to get the streaming, HTTP, HTTPS URL from Control panel. We used CyberDuck to get it before. From months it has been crossed years for us being using the conglomerated Cloud Services from Rackspace Cloud, It is quite impossible to think as an user a server or webhosting without Rackspace Cloud Control. I personally like the older version of both Mac OS X and Rackspace Cloud Control, but definitely both of them are radical needed improvements.
