Competition in cloud computing is making the IaaS and PaaS to grow together. PaaS is almost by all the providers has a good free usage quota. This is a plus point for the developers to develop free softwares like WordPress Plugins without any investment. Definitely that cost is coming from sucking someone else’s wallet by the provider. Cloud computing to some extent conquered the corporate IT if we think of the non specific word “Cloud Computing”. The trend also leading to changes in the competitive landscape in which the major players playing to their advantages. Most social media websites has their own infrastructure. Google uses own infrastructure. Apple uses own infrastructure. Microsoft, IBM, HP, Dell, Fujitsu…so, that OEM market of IT is now taking a different path for the game. The target is definitely the medium and smallest of the smallest. Competition in cloud computing is becoming higher.

Competition in Cloud Computing : IaaS and PaaS grow together

The cloud market is already roughly four times as large as the entire mainframe business. The cloud not only lowers the barriers to entry to small and medium enterprises to the opportunity to use the professionally managed and highly scalable IT resources to low and transparent prices but also cloud changed the structural development and distribution of softwares. It is therefore not surprising that just put young startups and media companies on the new trend and drive innovation on the application side to a large extent. Yes, Cloud Computing is really not safe – security is a big concern. But for a free WordPress plugin development or Free Web Software development, security of data is actually not so important. Also, who could not start an online business can now start a business.

Azure cloud platform and Google Cloud have shown that highly integrated Platforms as a Service ( PaaS ), press the the users in a technical corset, are suitable only for a few users or applications. Only in combination with freely configurable and combinable Infrastructure as a Service ( IaaS ), PaaS will become attractive for business users and professional developers.

Competition in Cloud Computing

The structure of a large customer base is as large as possible or the aggregation of a volume on the own workload for IaaS / PaaS platform makes it possible to use the scaling advantages for the service provider. To improve the conditions of purchase for equipment as well as the share of administrative and management costs. Size is a clear competitive advantage in the business of public IaaS and PaaS.

Important questions about the integration of the purchased SaaS solutions with the internal IT systems remain unsolved in this model. Here, the marketplace operator still trying hard on the standardization of services and interfaces (APIs). To be fair, it must be mentioned that even in the case of classical licensing and on-premise integration, these operations is/are obtained. The cloud thus caused not – as is often claimed – new integration costs, it is just different. Competition in Cloud Computing has reduced self hosted software costs – this is the fact.
