Free Tier Usage is Key Behind The Success of PaaS. Fortune of this cloud computing model is derived from the diffusion of mobile devices. Cloud Computing and Mobile Computing become increasingly closer. For the hobbyist developers, for testing mobile applications, platforms; a free space was required which none less than IaaS was the only solution if PaaS was not available.

Some argue that PaaS are about to reach the end of their existence : the reason which justifies such a stance derives from the implicit nature of PaaS solutions that would fit offer a more user-oriented solution with Cloud Automation.

According to many experts and analysts, companies and developers to choose one or the other form of service and avoid relying on an intermediate solution such as that proposed by the PaaS model. In real, this judgment seems not exactly to correspond to the reality and to prove it, there is also a place for the APAAS in Gartner Magic Quadrant – published in January of this year, which shows how the past year has been an important breakthrough year for PaaS, with many companies have begun to adopt it to suit different types of needs.

Really interesting is going to find out what needs can be met with a PaaS model and from this analysis we can understand that the Platform as a Service model seems to be destined to still have a life long-lived application. In fact, the PaaS seems to be able to meet all the needs of development and design that a developer company needs in front of the growing popularity of BYOD and mobile devices in mixed-usage (personal and business).

Although many companies are maintaining the functions through traditional channels, the attempt seems to be failing miserably and all the business users require resources always accessible, regardless of the time, the day, and the place where the information is stored.

No credit card, no Paypal account is needed to signup to major PaaS providers – Heroku Cloud and OpenShift. Our users contact us more for troubleshooting for PaaS than IaaS, it is not really that IaaS is simple to use; the YouTube video views simply tells the truth – when Heroku was the only practical PaaS provider, not much of the new users; who are not developers were interested about PaaS. The trend has been changed.

The plurality of channels of access to corporate information and the continued increased usage of the mobile devices has made it even more difficult and challenging task for the shared hosting providers – PaaS solutions are in many a way unique development platform and suitable to achieve the required productivity.

Until now, in fact, the developers have generally had to choose a set of separate instruments, depending on the final distribution platform of content and information. In this way, however, every developer has specialized in a particular platform and often in company’s IT departments they had to deal with unpleasant situations arising from a need for conversion of the mobile applications which were not really made ??for a particular type of platform.

PaaS platforms offer the developers a unified set of tools to allow the same application to work perfectly locally too, apart from on Web and on mobile devices. The strong integration is guaranteed by the PaaS solutions can only portend a long life – especially in a context where IT is moving more and more towards the newborn Internet of Things.
