Adobe Photoshop is one of the most renowned product from Adobe. In earlier full software versions of Adobe Creative Suite (CS), we need to pay Adobe a huge amount to purchase a particular version. Later, we had to pay again for upgrade. In recent years, Adobe switched from Creative Suite (CS) to Creative Cloud (CC). What is Included in Adobe Creative Cloud For Photography? Adobe CC’s photography plan includes Lightroom CC, Lightroom Classic CC, Photoshop CC and 20GB of cloud storage at $9/month (excluding tax). It is not closest to bad for the individual designers and bloggers. We simply like it – it is like paying for server. But when the need is Adobe Illustrator too, then the price goes double – $18/month (excluding tax).
How is Adobe Creative Cloud Works?
It is like satellite cable connection. You are paying monthly to install and run the software on your computer. Adobe will automatically update, apply patches. For the sake of paying and automatic updates, you need to connect your computer to internet running Adobe Creative Cloud at least once a month. Rest of the time, you can work offline. Updates & upgrades are constant and free. So, Adobe Photoshop CC actually has no visible version number.
This new system makes sure that users are not missing out on many truly useful features, simply because they did not even have the time to evaluate and consider the choice and cost of an upgrade of CS version.
Adobe CC includes many cloud services (depends on pricing plan). Features like the centralized Adobe CC Libraries, the 1000+ paid and free font families on Typekit, a kind of Dropbox from Adobe, Publish Online (PDF and ePub). Adobe CC connects to some mobile apps. Adobe CC integration with Adobe mobile apps is useful. It is not complete or perfect yet, but already useful. Because we can use the touch function.
For need Photoshop and/or Lightroom, $9/month not exactly huge money to pay. Plus there is 7 days trial. For us, Adobe CC is the best tool for creating content for our website. We mainly use Adobe Photoshop. There are some vector tools as alternative to Adobe Illustrator.
We have not noticed any big difference in basics between Adobe Photoshop CS and Adobe Photoshop CC. Things including menus are same like we are used since a decade.
