All of us expect that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will deliver seamless performance, but unfortunately, there are reports of unexpected and repeated crashes and restarts which can make the device usage experience pathetic. While crash and rebooting are not the complaints which are common (happen only with certain sections of users), we have identified that various factors can cause these crash and reboot loops. Most of these are problematic software issues but some can be hardware defects (you’ll get a replacement in such cases).
What Steps You Can Do from Your Side
If your set has defective hardware such as a problematic battery, faulty mainboard, or some other internal components can cause severe malfunction. In this case, restart or crash can happen even with factory settings, without any third-party app installed. In such a case, you should contact the service centre.
Another common issue with the S series, particularly the S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra is overheating. Any smartphone has its limitations around cooling. If the app or game consumes too much CPU or memory then the device may get hot. When the device gets hot then it can randomly restart.
---
S24 Ultra has no SD card slot, hence the damaged or corrupt SD card can not lead to system crashes and boot loops. If the model was some Galaxy A series, this was another probability of issues.
Next, look for crash reports in device maintenance. Remove or update any app which may be creating the crash or reboot. Next, reboot in safe mode. Safe Mode, exactly like that of Microsoft Windows is a diagnostic environment loading only the core operating system.
- While your device is on, press and hold the power button.
- Tap and hold the Power off icon on your screen.
- When a Safe Mode prompt appears, tap OK to restart.
If the problems do not appear in safe mode, i.e. crash or odd reboot loop, then the issue is with the software. You will need to clear the app cache and data which can lead to instability. Clearing this data can be helpful.

Go to Settings > Apps.
Tap each app, particularly those that may create the issue.
Now, go to Storage and clear cache and clear data.
Perform a restart and watch for a crash or reboot loop. Also, disable the “RAM Plus” feature. Navigate to the RAM Plus menu via Settings > Device care > Memory > RAM Plus and switch it off. You need not to restart after this change.
These are the steps we know which may solve your problem. If these can not solve your problem then kindly visit the service centre instead of performing experiments. A faulty device under warranty will be replaced by Samsung.
