Change Your windows 7 Start Orb in very easy steps!

frank1n in DeviantArt has developed a nice software to change the start orb in both 32 bit and 64 bit version of Windows 7. Just download this 549 KB small software from his page and save it in your computer and follow the tutorial bellow.

Step 1

After you have downloaded, unzip it to any place of your choice in your hard disc:

You will get two folders, one exe file and one instruction file (in text format) inside it:

Read the instruction file (“Read Important! HOW TO USE!!!” file) :

Step 2

Copy the 7StartButton folder (select it by single click and press [ctrl] and [c] keys of keyboard at the same time) :

Step 3

Paste in C:\Windows folder by pressing [ctrl] and [v] keys of keyboard at same time) :

It may provoke a security prompt, click continue:

Check whether it has been pasted fine:

Step 4

Now, go to the original folder (in Step 1); run the exe file by right clicking over it and selecting “Run as Admin…” :

Program will be launched, it will take a backup automatically and explorer.exe will restart; your opened folders will be closed by other applications will restored after the shell restarts:

Very easy to use program, click “Change Start Button” button to browse and select your favourite button and then just “Click Apply Start Button”.

The downloaded zip folder also contains eight assorted orbs too.
