Important: This update supersedes and replaces update 2158563, which was released in September 2010. This update also includes additional time zone changes made after update 2158563 was created.
If you have already deployed update 2158563, read the descriptions of the specific time zone changes that are addressed in this article to determine whether you must deploy this update immediately. If systems are not directly affected, you can schedule deployment at the next available opportunity.
The following changes were made since the previous Windows cumulative time zone update:
Magadan Standard Time:Creates Magadan Standard Time time zone with the display name of œ(UTC+11:00) Magadan”. This timezone will have DST support, with DST starting in March and ending in October. Removes “Magadan” from the display name of “(UTC+11:00) Magadan, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia” time zone, which does not have DST support. Namibia Standard Time, displayname (UTC +1:00) Windhoek: Changes the time zone bias from UTC+2:00 to UTC+1:00. Changes the DST start and end dates, so DST starts in September and ends in April. EgyptStandard Time, displayname (UTC +2:00) Cairo : Sets 2011 DST start-date to occur in April and DST end-date to occur in September.
