Elive Topaz 2.0 is based on Debian Linux. Though we have tested only the Live bootable USB version only (you no need to install to your hard disk in order to run), which according to the developer has limited features; we must admit it is one of the beautiful Operating System in the World today.

Practically, without really testing it, it is not possible to share the experience. Elive uses the Enlightenment X window manager instead of GNOME or KDE. It has Compiz too!
So, its your wish whether your desktop will need snow fall, fire sparkle with clicks. It runs on Mac too.

How to create live version of Elive Topaz
You need to download the Elive Topaz 2.o iso from official website. You need a USB drive and a special version of unetbootin to create the live distro.
Except the USB drive, everything is free and can be downloaded from the official website. If you face any problem, just comment here and we will upload to our server and distribute for free.
We are taking that you are using Windows 7.
Plug the USB drive. Go to My Computer and Right Click on the Drive and click Format. Format as FAT32. Needless to say, you need formatting will erase all previous stored data.
Now, double click the unetbootin executable file and you will get this window:

Select Diskimage and Browse the location of Elive Topaz iso file and check the destination is right or not and click OK.

Wait for few minutes and it will be completed.
Next restart the computer and press f8 to select boot device. Select your USB pen drive. You can select pre -made profiles of few branded computers too that will load the needed drivers itself.
Within few minutes you will enjoy the beautiful World of Elive Topaz.
