Web 4.0 is somewhat more heard than more understood to most of the Internet users. We will discuss the basics of Web 4.0 on the ground of Web 2.0, Cloud Computing and Virtualization.

 

 

What is Web 4.0 ?

 

Web 1.0 refers to the initial period of World Wide Web. In 2004 Web 2.0 was coined by Tim O’Reilly. We wrote an article on Web 2.0 before. Web 3.0 is a combination Web 2.0 applications and technologies of the Semantic Web.

Web 4.0 is kind of technology in the virtualization deployed Cloud Platform where the real-time profiles could be delivered in combination with Real-time Internet technologies and the Semantic Web. Web 4.0 is some what towards the future.

Micro-formats, Google and Web 4.0

 

Web 3.0 is the direction towards the 3D vision led by the Web 3D Consortium, yes it hearing like a fiction, but Web 4.0 will be a truth within 7-8 years.

You have noticed that Google is giving more importance to the Micro-formats like rel=”author”, Technorati is adapting too. The mission and Vision of Google is towards Web 4.0.

In very simple words, who are you and what you are posting will be much more important in future with Web 4.0 than those old SEO tricks. Simply a person with better reliability, from academic point of view is supposed to deliver better materials for sharing the knowledge than a person masked with a pseudonym.

As Google always relies a human more than the machine, with Web 4.0 we can expect a better quality websites and articles coming to the top those were hidden behind the cunning webmasters’ trick.

And yes, we are approaching towards Web 4.0, it is happening. In Google’s Re-captcha language “Stop Spam, Read Books”. Google Search is changing, is not it?

Web 4.0 Basics

Wait for Web 4.0 for just few years, you will enter in to a virtual reality where the Broadway of knowledge will meet. Yes, to get the full benefit of Web 4.0, we need better Internet Connectivity, Websites might need to be served through Cloud Servers to be within the Web 4.0.
