Mac Book or WindowsLaptop – basically it has no single line answer. Cost of a high end Notebook PC, be it Mac Book or Windows Laptop, is just double of a high end Smart Phone. But, expectations from a Mac Book or Windows Laptop?is more than from a Smart Phone. Mac Book or Windows Laptop – Think of Windows 8
We have to keep in mind – Windows 8 will have a biggest difference with other Windows OS – the EFI boot. So, for the multi OS users, it will be harder to create a dual boot PC, unlike it is very easy still now. As Mac uses EFI and Windows can be officially installed on a Mac, there is an option named boot camp to easily install Windows OS any version before Windows 8. Some enthusiasts have successfully installed Windows 8 Developer Preview on Mac with a bit hack and tweaking of the bootloader, but it is a question whether Mac will support installing Windows 8 with boot camp – the question is of the EFI Boot.
Any OS practically can be installed on any Notebook PC – but, the default or native support is a big question.

Most professionals has agreed, Mac Book Pro remains shiny after a period. The reason is the build quality – when one guest writer wrote “Mac Book Pro has better quality hardwares”, apparently, some users disagreed – probably he wanted to say “the build quality”, something what we rely about Nokia Mobiles.

Basically Apple is never on the price war – it is unlikely that Apple will reduce price significantly for any of their products. This situation actually pushes a percentage of users towards Windows Laptop.

You will get the hardware support for a conventional Windows Laptop almost everywhere – be it official or unofficial. In fact you can change the RAM yourself. For Mac Book, certain parts of the World, Apple has very limited support. Users from this area must understand this problem. But, but…without the extended warranty, replacement cost of major hardware components (like the motherboard) of either Mac Book or Windows Laptop is very costly. This is where any desktop wins the game.
Keep in mind, in order to upgrade your hard disk for Bundled / OEM Windows OS – you have to buy another License of Windows (Retail).
Mac Book or Windows Laptop – Ask for a physical demo
Apples provides physical demo of Mac Book. It depends on the reseller how in depth can be provided by the Windows Laptop. Here is Video from Apple for the new Mac OS users.
It is a matter of choice whether to buy Mac Book or Windows Laptop. I personally like Mac Book Pro 15 Inch model. 17 Inch is too big and suitable for the graphics designers.
