In Cloud Computing Platform, Not Using the Features Means Wastage

In Cloud Computing Platform, Not Using the Features Means Wastage of Money. It is estimated that over 40% users of cloud wastes money by not using all features. When you need to work in Cloud Computing Platform like from Rackspace, Amazon Web Services, HP Cloud ; it can happen that the IT administrators of your company often buy more than they really need or under use less expensive add ons. This phenomenon exclusively happens in Cloud Computing Platform as most thinks that Cloud Computing is like some more powerful engine that can be automatically started in place of the previous technologies.

In reality, however, the thought rule that Cloud Computing is an engine, obviously does not work and does not create benefits by thinking such a model, and even users lose one of the major advantages of this technology, given the cost savings you get with dynamic allocation of resources according to traffic variations or computing expenditure. These are considerations that suggest you, that the companies and individual websites could save a lot of money than they usually spend money by spending a few more minutes to review their strategies and cloud usage.

Example Wastage of resources in Cloud Computing Platform

A common misconception among the Cloud users seems to be the general habit of allocating more instances of large or extra large when an instance size of medium or small will work. This bad habit has led to the over usage of 17% of the allocated resources.

Cache can hugely increase the Operational Cost on Cloud Server, we wrote about reducing Cache to Reduce Operational Cost on Cloud Server before. Another biggest point is not using Content Delivery Network for serving Static Content. Sometimes, some CMS like WordPress produces combined CSS and JavaScript file and periodically auto flashes them like flushing cache. Practically there is no good CDN Plugin for WordPress, you need to use various methods in combination. Still, as a CMS WordPress is the most advanced and you can actually optimize it. With other web softwares like vBulletin, you can forget it. Some does ot deserve to be operated in Cloud Computing Platform, that definitely includes vBulletin like poorly coded software. They will increase the bill.
