WordPress Virtual Appliance : Get All The Features of localhost

WordPress Virtual Appliance can give you all the Features of localhost Installation of WordPress but without the need of installation of LAMP on your computer. Previously we published about Virtual Appliance on VMware Fusion or VirtualBox to Test CMS. You can use the same basic technical principle for WordPress Virtual Appliance. Apart from these ready made WordPress Virtual Appliance links, which you will have to update manually to the latest version of WordPress, you can actually create your own WordPress Virtual Appliance.

What Are The Advantages of Using WordPress Virtual Appliance Over Localhost Installation of WordPress LAMP Stack ?

For Windows PC, running a LAMP Stack by any method is a simulation not the real LAMP Stack. So actually you need to run Linux or (Mac) OS X to physically run —AMP stack as demons. It is important to understand the fact – you need to shut down all the daemons which are related to WordPress / —AMP stack to stop sucking your computing resource.

Secondly, any image of Virtual Appliance can be saved separately. That means, if you mess up a test setup, it it merely running the last working image.

Third point is, today we mostly use multi core processors with 4 – 8 GB RAM for the notebook computers. A virtual image will hardly suck 2 GB of RAM, which is enough to run a server plus the LAMP stack.

Fourthly, we in real life actually run WordPress on a server running on Virtualization – how may actually uses a bare metal to run WordPress ? This is the actual server setup. Also there is no chance to get virus, malwares for the Windows users if you deploy some problem creating installation’s database like we do for restoration.

We will create two step by step videos to show few things, you will get the latest version of WordPress Virtual Appliance after our work rightly configured as if running on OpenStack Cloud Server or any specific Virtualization Software. It is not possible to give cPanel or Plesk as they are paid softwares, we will provide OpenPanel to serve the purpose (it will look yummy on Mac).

For now you can use these links to download WordPress Virtual Appliance :
