What Google packaged as “Open Source” which was tested as Cloud Foundry before, eventually is outdated way. Heroku, OpenShift became the standard with time. Google is erratically closing many free services which were used by many users, services include FreeBase, Google Code, PageSpeed service. Google Cloud Launcher PaaS is not really an astonishment neither from software point of view nor from point of hardware. Historically, Google acquired all the small and medium companies which now they are known to be of Google – be it DoubleClick or Blogger.

Google Cloud Launcher PaaS : Reasons Not To Use

Actually their main App Engine when was free was great PaaS as the number of options were limited. The basic reason not to use is Google’s beautiful history with NSA and PRISM. When there are better options, even fully free of cost; why take the risk of being under surveillance? Secondly; IBM, HP, Intel all are old hardware manufactures with huge number of dependent employees. HP can not pay abnormally like Google. Regardless of the country from which you have originated, we must choose the product from a company which is trusted, old and the owners respect the good practice.

Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon – basically all are known to be dangerous companies. In this post Edward Snowden era, we should evaluate the contributions of the excellent humans – Edward Snowden, Richard Stallman and many more peoples. If you get in to a solid trouble today, Richard Stallman will try to make you connected with the other peoples.

Digital Ocean’s infrastructure is not Free Software, but they basically gives IaaS from $5 / month charge. Microsoft promotes Google Cloud via Microsoft News – “Many of us doubt whether Google is really serious about their enteprise services business. Today™s announcement from their Cloud Platform team will put your doubts to rest. Since Google™s Cloud Platform customers requested them to offer a way to run Windows-based workloads, Google announced three improvements related to Windows on Google platform.”

You will notice that, we publish GNU/Linux guides related to servers only for specific service providers – even Rackspace is lately dropped because we have some doubt. Be you are business decision maker or an individual software developer, you should avoid the known traps.
