Rage4 DNS Review : 2 Months Usage

From technical point Rage4 DNS is superior than Dyn DNS at same expenditure. Rage4 DNS is Perfect DNS For Low End Box. Here is Our Rage4 DNS review around how we felt. This review is not endorsed by Rage4 DNS but we are using the service at present. Rage4 has extremely competitive DNS load balancing service as pay-as-you-go pricing. At this moment, NSONE and Rage4 are DNS services which are worthy to discuss as they are going high up by various DNS service testing tools. NSONE costs higher for more than 0.5 million queries per month when compared to Rage4.

Rage4 DNS Review : 2 Months Usage

Rage4 offers an anycast DNS, DNS CAA record, DNSSEC, vanity nameservers, and an API integration for only 2 Euro per month cost. The comparison will obvious with Hurricane Electric Free DNS. Hurricane Electric Free DNS no way bad but that 2 Euro per month adds a service level agreement. That 2 Euro per month is lowest tier and you can not expect advanced analytics. The DNS web panel is itself faster, self explanatory.

As for reliability, we have not noticed any downtime caused by their DNS, at least which we are aware of. Possibly no DNS of these days have downtime of control panel or DNS service.

As for support, we are probably easily satisfied with any support as “low end box” users. At 2 Euro per month cost, we can not expect huge support unless there is genuine need. We never had such need, they responded fairly quickly with one-liner on one need. Their bad part is billing date and charging. You frankly need to be ready with money on credit card around billing period. I am not sure

They do have some good documentation :

Conclusion From Rage4 DNS Review

Rage4 DNS is good for services like our recommended to test VPSDime’s OpenVZ server. Free Hurricane Electric Free DNS is not exactly reliable for a domain from which you have some earning. Support for DNS CAA record, DNSSEC, DANE are really important. They have a free to test period. You can easily test free of cost and check. Free has GeoDNS, so the service will appear more faster than 2 Euro per month cost. You’ll get monitoring at 10 Euro per month cost, at 20 Euro per month cost and dedicated IP at 50 Euro per month cost. I guess, their 2 Euro per month is the most lucrative offer. You are using the same infrastructure which 50 Euro per month actually paying for.
