We have discussed about EZVIZ Security Camera and also discussed How to Protect IP Cameras From Hackers. This article is the base of getting the RTSP feed from your EVIZ camera so that (i) you can play on local computer or PC or Raspberry Pi running VLC player (ii) you can locally save the stream using computer, Raspberry Pi or a smartphone (iii) stream it live to the internet (iv) save on a FTP server.
How to Get the Streaming Video URI
From your router’s software, you’ll get the local IP address from the list of connected devices. In my case, the IP of the EZVIZ camera under test was
192.168.0.109. You’ll the device verification code either from the sticker attached to the bottom of the camera or from the connected EVIZ app’s About section of the particular device. The next part required to construct the URI was found on this webpage of iSpyConnect. The final URI should look like this:
# replace DEV_CODE with real device verification code
How to Play the Stream on VLC Player
Open VLC player, click “Media”, then click “Open Network Stream” and copy-paste the URI you have constructed from the above direction. From the VLC player, it is possible to save the file locally on the computer or smartphone.
How to Live Stream to YouTube Live
You need to install an open-source software named “Open Broadcaster Studio” (OBS), you’ll find it on their official website. After installation of OBS, you can keep the VLC player to feed on it to OBS or add the above URI Sources > Media. Do not forget to click the “start virtual camera” option. Now, whenever you’ll open YouTube Live, OBS will automatically guide you through a wizard to stream it to YouTube Live. If you keep the live event “Private”, then you will be able to play on various devices of different sizes anywhere in this world.
How to Save the Live Stream on Own Server
You can send the live stream to the public internet by using a dynamic DNS service. While this is most easy, it is quite easy to hack. I do not suggest this method when you are using the camera as a security camera. We will discuss saving the live stream on our server as a separate guide. It is possible to save the video on various cloud services and CDN services.
All the methods are easy and the easiness is the culprit behind the breach of security of the IP cameras. Whoever can get the device verification code and access to the Wi-Fi network can do whatever is the wish.Tagged With ezviz 764255952 security camera ip address
