How to have our own online TV channel

Live Streaming is the mechanism that allows us to transmit live video. Any of us can have his or her own TV channel with only a computer running Microsoft Windows 7 or Mac OS (Both these operating systems offer various media encoding softwares) with internet access and a camera.

WEBCAM – We can use a webcam to transmit or a simple digital video camera.

INTERNET CONNECTION – The suggestion would be a web connection of 150 KBPS, but as always if you have better connection it will offer higher quality video, as many U.S. channels are in HD quality rarely seen and everything is based on the strong connection they have.

To transmit must enter and recorded in some of the sites which we provide this service free of cost.

These sites provide us:

  • Options for low, medium and high.
  • Embed Code.Simultaneous capture Streaming.
  • A menu from which we can change if we have the same camera.
  • In some of these sites users are permitted to download content.

Now let us talk about the sites, there are many sites available, but we recommend the following:

Stickam – The you can create chat rooms with live streaming, but no integration with social networks.

Qik – One of the best if we want to convey through our mobile.

Justin In my opinion the best in several respects, allows chat, embed code and integrate with social networks accordingly.

Ustream.tv – Similar to justin but less known for our channel which will have to be more “hyped”, but has better image quality by working with other technology.

And finally the best known and most widely used by professional companies LIVESTREAM .

It is used for example by Facebook for their ads to the press, have free account five minutes of airtime.

The user can have all the videos stored and incorporate them into YouTube.

The use is very simple, just record and broadcast!

Some points to consider:

  • Recommended video formats: Windows Media Video (WMV) , FLV, AVI and MOV.
  • Video editing software: Vegas, WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER, ADOBE PREMIERE, FINAL CUT.
  • Transmission Programs: Wirecast, Windows Media Encoder, Flash Media Live Encoder.

With these simple points we can build an online TV channel, which we can provide not only money, but entertainment.
