We will continue to tease the thunders of bad thoughts because of this title and continuation of our mantra. Because even today many SEOs still swear by the PageRank in their site specific SEO strategy, which is very unfortunate for their customers who pay for a bad SEO.

Approximately two years ago, has Google removed the invididual page’s PageRank in Google Webmasters Tool (WMT). At the last Search Engine Roundtable, Barry Schwartz explains that Google would seek to abandon its PageRank. Susan Moskwa, an analyst at Google, goes to this idea even if the PageRank remained posted two days after its declaration of 14 October 2009:
We told people long ago that they should not focus on PageRank, many site owners seem to think that this is a very important, which is simply not true. We removed because we felt it was ridiculous to tell people not to take into account while offering these data, implying that they should look. :-)
Then why PageRank it is displayed elsewhere? Barry explains that since 2007, Google’s intention was to remove from its toolbar. He adds that it will not be deleted because the PageRank is an image that is still important. PageRank is just one of 200 factors that affect how your site is scanned, indexed and ranked in the search results from Google.

Whatever the strategy netlinking (off-page seo) the referrer should analyze the Web page with which it wishes to establish a link exchange, this is supposed to go well beyond the mere observation of PageRank.
We are not the first to write against “PageRank is everything” concept. Many SEO gurus are writing since 2003. You can search the web to find them. Unfortunately, the PageRank myth is lingering on still.
