There are many different articles published in cloud computing in this website, one of the most widely accepted definitions comes from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The NIST defines five basic characteristics of Cloud Computing, three service models and four deployment models. Among the properties that are required for Cloud Computing those include:

  • On Demand Service
  • Comprehensive Network Access
  • Resource pooling
  • Flexibility
  • Measured Service

In addition, NIST defines the three service models of Cloud Computing, sometimes referred to as architectural layers of Cloud Computing:

  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS)

And finally, it defines four deployment models:

Introduction to Cloud Computing Architecture

Cloud Computing Architecture

Everyone has an idea about what is Cloud Computing. Cloud Computing can be the ability to rent a server or thousands of servers and run a geophysical application model or the ability to perform floating point processor level parallelism or multithreading. Cloud Computing also gives the ability to lease a virtual server, load the software. Cloud Computing can be used to store large amounts of information which can also be accessible only for some applications and authorized users. All these elements of Cloud Computing are supported by a Cloud Computing to configure a platform that includes: operating system, Apache, Mysql database server, Perl, Python and PHP with the ability to scale automatically in response to changing workloads. Cloud computing may be the ability to use applications that are hosted on the Internet, store and protect information while it is accessed through a service – Anything, including email, sales force automation and preparation tasks. Cloud Computing can be used to store applications in the cloud, businesses and personal information and maybe the ability to use a handful of web services to integrate photos, maps, GPS information to create data to be displayed in browsers clients.

Prospects of Cloud Computing Architecture

Cloud Computing is based on the principle of efficiency, the efficiency that produces high-level tools to manage 80% of cases of use of applications that can be created and deployed with an amazing cost.
