If you are using Windows PC, you basically can not use any UNIX commands by default. So we often need to install an additional software or bunch of softwares to use the UNIX commands. Moreover, there are many packages which are not present on Windows Operating System. For Mac OS X and Linux, these problems are not present. You can use Ubuntu Linux without the need to install it on your PC by using this method. Install it on your Windows PC :

Note the two checkboxes are checked. Complete it. Restart your computer and from the Start Menu, you will get the needed links :

Start command line tool by clicking the œStart Command Prompt with Ruby option. Now your Windows became a bit smart like Linux, type this :

This is to update Ruby. It will take a small time and after it is completed, run this command :

This will actually install AppFog for Ruby :
