Comparing Advertising Options : AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn

Comparing advertising options between AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn apart from cpc, cpm has more aspects to consider. Here is a quick guide for the advertisers. Who clicks the Ads is always a big question and what we actually want to do with the Advert. Actually, direct head to head comparing advertising options between AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn is a bit fallacious as AdWords has a straight forward Search Advertising option.

Basics like CPC, CPM, SEM are discussed in this website many years before and we guess most readers are aware of these terminologies, if not, please search within this website – we basically do not want to distract to some other topic.

Comparing Advertising Options : Understanding What You Basically Want

If a Blog uses Adverts, both AdWords and Facebook are suitable option. LinkedIn will be too costly option. Its quite obvious, for a blog, the earning usually either via Google AdSense or some CPM or CPC based Ad Network. The basic target here are :

---

  1. To bring a person who is performing search to land to the intended webpage regardless of the SERP with the keyword.
  2. To make the person a subscriber or click +1 , Like etceteras, the rate is quite higher than actually thought of.
  3. Increasing the CPM or CPC – in other words increasing earnings indirectly
  4. To sell some product

Options the limited due to budget, AdWords for example will offer the better result or rather the ROI is higher for AdWords. AdWords uses CPC, CPM and CPA. But for a company with only one product to sell, the only target will be less complicated :

  1. To sell some product

Whether the person becomes a subscriber or click +1 , Like etceteras are really secondary. If after investing $100.00 / day, there are 70 Plus ones but not a single product sold, there is definitely some issue, like :

  1. The targeting is wrong
  2. The product has less probability of selling

Basically this part of Return on Investment (ROI) is part of Marketing and on Internet it is almost a fact that 50% of the successful bloggers has some Ad management Service. As the ROI from SEO is definitely higher, we can weigh from our experience whether this ‘acute’ promotion will be helpful or not. Google Adwords is all purpose, well suited from generating instant leads, website visits, branding to sales for any niche. It is quite complicated to fine tune. Google AdWords Experts phone people like us to teach this complicated part fully for free of cost – this is because, we handle the Ads of ours and others. They will definitely want to increase the ROI of the clients. That AdWords Keywords Tool is quite famous in professional blogging arena!

This introduction is for the next paragraph so that a new user do not misunderstand the raw cash value while reading this article for comparing advertising options.

Comparing Advertising Options : Cost Based Comparison

Comparing-Advertising-Options

Although too raw, Facebook Ads cost the least, then AdWords and then LinkedIn. With LinkedIn and Facebook, you are targeting people based on who they are. If I serve Ads for managing few Million Dollar Ads per annum, LinkedIn will work better. But if I want to use LinkedIn for promoting this webpage – I’ll get ripped off – within 3 days $150.00 will be spent with few Plus ones, likes etc. Its unlikely that a LinkedIn user will click a Google AdSense Ad.

Other is Twitter, Twitter is closer to LinkedIn – the basic tend is towards branding not direct instant conversion. AdWords has a very nice interface versus Facebook even for the new users. Understand your target first, then it is better to compare. The ROI can not be compared unless the sample size is bigger.
