Plugins Needed to Get Fast WordPress with Redis and Good Score

Get Fast WordPress with Redis and Good Score With Minifying HTML, CSS, JS & Using a CDN. We are describing for Rackspace Performance Server. Honestly, the newer Performance Server from Rackspace are blazing fast, practically a single one GB server can give you stunning result. It is quite obvious that you need to install the proper modules, tweak PHP.ini, MySQL server at the backend. Rackspace Performance Server 2 GB probably will be a better choice, but the pricing difference is quite bigger. Obviously you can use another server for the MySQL part in case of 1 GB server, as the number of virtual cores will be less in 1 GB. As we know that Rackspace OpenStack Now Supports PXE on Bootable Virtual ROM Device and we can take full server image automated backup; the things are actually cream. Practically, a hacker will waste his/her valuable time if input effort – simply spin or build from the last image. WordPress, had infamous vulnerable point of getting hacked from W3 Total Cache like Plugins – SQL Injections were not uncommon via the Comments Form. You Need to Get a Fast WordPress – Do You Need to Load Faster than 1 seconds or Less?

Problems to Get Fast WordPress and a Good Score

Clearly know – ngnix is not safe than Apache. We are considering an user who has mediocre knowledge about UNIX Administration like the author of this article. If you are UNIX expert, you can handle ngnix for main Server; we have guide for Shifting WordPress From Apache to nginx Web Server. We recommend using Apache as main Server Software with either Red Hat Linux or Ubuntu. You can use do Reverse Proxying with nginx, though. You probably have less to learn with Apache, you at least know how to use .htaccess to block IP, folders, files !

We do not think, Google Web Crawler give any importance to the amount of labour required for a very high end setup. That is why we will suggest to go for a kind of “cost saving” with one single 1 GB Rackspace Performance Server. 1 GB is enough fast for a server to work with. Google will add new things to practically decrease the score – one of such thing we solved is the common error – Eliminate Render-blocking Javascript and CSS WordPress. Practical thing is that, a Person with $5 / mo shared hosting plan from Hostgator will copy paste from your website and Google will clap like a bystander and give it a better SERP. We basically need to balance the cost and return.

Plugins Needed to Get Fast WordPress with Redis and Good Score

APC is an opcode cache, that you can also use as a data cache; Redis is a data cache (which also requires you to change the code to use it). If you didn’t need to change any code when you installed APC, then you’re only using it as an opcode cache; redid will not replace that. In other words, you will only need WordPress to generate dynamic pages and get Redis installed in the way we partially described. Check this video, by the way :

We solved the issue of Eliminate Render-blocking Javascript and CSS WordPress. Other things we need are :

Plugins Needed to Get Fast WordPress with Redis and Good Score
  1. Probably another CSS and Js minifying Plugin – there are good standalone WordPress Plugins
  2. Some Plugin to offload static materials to Rackspace Cloud Files CDN – there is a good WordPress Plugin
  3. Some hand coding on the Theme for tweak, it is not possible to describe as a common solution
  4. Some Monitoring Tool (optional)
  5. Disable ALL WordPress Cache Plugins. You might get white pages with double caching or may be never get cache working.
  6. Tweak MySQL, Apache, PHP etc.
  7. Use good cheat sheet to use .htaccess rules to use the right modules. Obviously, you need to enable the right modules as well.
