As of July 2022, Android has a market share of approximately 85% of the global smartphone market. Android is written using C, C++, Java and other languages. Android uses its own C library, named Bionic. Android utilizes own VM, which is known as the Dalvik.
The Difference between Linux and Android
Linux is typically used for servers, while Android is designed for mobile devices. Linux is also used in a variety of other devices, such as routers and embedded systems.
